First-time new home buyers at a two year high

An increasing number of first time buyers are purchasing their new home, as Moneyfacts report that new home buyers are at a two year high.

Their figures come from the latest First-Time Buyer Tracker from Your Move and Reeds Rains and show that a total of 32,000 completed first time buyer sales were recorded in April this year.  This figure shows an increase of 14.9 per cent from March and an overall 37.4 per cent rise year-on-year.  The figures also mark the highest monthly total seen since June 2014 when 33,300 first time buyer purchases were recorded.

The research states that this strong growth in sales is coming from changes to Stamp Duty brought in this year,  These changes have caused a drop in the number of landlords looking to purchase additional properties.  This has meant that currently the competition for properties has receded and new home buyers now have more of a choice of affordable housing as a result.

Gretton Valley offers contemporary and traditional new homes

For first time buyers looking to take advantage of these changes, the Larkfleet developments at Bourne Heights, Bourne and Gretton Valley in Weldon offer a mix of new home sizes and styles.  With traditional and contemporary new homes with one to five bedrooms, both developments offer cost saving solar panels fitted as standard.  Both are within easy reach of major routes to main towns and cities and offer great local facilities.   Both developments have recently been launched.  Bourne Heights is still offering a generous pre-launch discount whilst free flooring is on offer at Gretton Valley this week.
